Vancouver has long been considered one of the most desirable holiday destinations and livable cities in the world. Situated right on the Pacific Ocean it has wonderful beaches, parks and cycling paths and is one of the top ski destinations in the world with Whistler/Blackcomb Ski Resort being ranked number one in North America. That you can travel between both the sun and the skiing in less than 90 minutes makes it that much more impressive. There are also several local ski and snowboard mountains which are only 20 minutes away.
We are a three hour drive north of Seattle and easily accessible to all major cities which makes air travel a relatively painless way in and out of the city. Vancouver boasts several unique areas, beautiful parks, fantastic restaurants, big city shopping, one of a kind boutiques and a very cool subculture - there is something for everyone.
Vancouver is also a popular location for film production. Dubbed Hollywood North, Vancouver has been the backdrop for a number of TV programs and movies, most notably The X-Files (prior to their relocation to California a few years back). Vancouver residents are quite used to celebrity sightings.
